Monthly Reflection
Insights and thoughts from this month's journey.
This Month's Focus
February 2026 is about momentum. The B2B SaaS pilot is being built out and pilot customers are on the horizon. Piano practice is a daily habit now, one month in. Reading is tracking well against the 15,000-page goal, powered by deep runs through the A Song of Ice and Fire series.
Goal Progress
The AI-assisted development goal is ahead of schedule — Claude Code has become the primary way I build everything. The B2B SaaS project is early but moving fast. Reading is on pace at around 3,000 pages in. Piano and the 5K are both just getting started.
Key Insights
- Claude Code changes everything — Building software with AI assistance is a fundamentally different (and faster) workflow
- Big reading goals need big books — The GoT series has been great for accumulating pages while staying engaged
- New skills compound slowly at first — Piano is humbling, but consistency is the only path forward
What's Next
March will be about securing the first pilot customer for the B2B project, maintaining the reading pace, and pushing deeper into piano fundamentals.
